His music blends the sophistication of Afro-American jazz with the vibrant spirit of his homeland, Ibiza, creating a unique sound beyond traditional genres.
With three albums released, Navarro has built a strong musical identity. His latest double album, QUINTESSENTIAL (2025), won Album of the Year by the prestigious Catalan magazine Enderrock. His previous records, Perenne and Live in Madrid (Fresh Sound Records), established him as an important voice in contemporary jazz.

Tony Davis is an internationally acclaimed guitarist, composer, and singer-songwriter based in New York City. He has performed at renowned venues such as The Blue Note, Village Vanguard, and Jazz at Lincoln Center. His music blends Afro-Latin, folk, and jazz-blues influences. Albums include Golden Year, Cloud Nova, and Jessamine.
Luques Curtis is a Grammy-winning bassist and composer, recognized as one of the leading figures in modern jazz and Latin jazz. He studied at Berklee College of Music and has collaborated with artists such as Eddie Palmieri. In 2025, he won a Grammy for Cubop Lives.

Peter Madsen Quartet
The Peter Madsen Quartet, Tatuza’s March resident band, will perform on Tatuza’s stage on March 15.
Peter Madsen is an American pianist, composer, and educator. He lived in New York City for many years and worked with numerous jazz legends, including Stan Getz, Kenny Garrett, Joe Lovano, and others. He has performed thousands of concerts worldwide, written over 600 compositions, and appeared on more than 160 recordings.
Jeremy Sandfelder is a Canadian/French/American saxophonist and clarinetist whose music is rooted in the traditions of Swing, Bebop, and Cool Jazz. He graduated from McGill University in 2024 and has performed with leading figures of the Canadian jazz scene.
Sean Burke is a Montreal-based bassist and composer who has been an in-demand sideman for over a decade, performing with acclaimed artists across Canada and the United States. He earned his master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music in 2019 and studied with jazz legends.
Alex Johnson is a Montreal-based drummer who has been active on the jazz scene for the past eight years, collaborating with prominent local and international jazz musicians.

Omar Kabir’s Quartet

In February 25, the Tatuza stage will host Omar Kabir’s Quartet, featuring one of the renowned jazz drummers, Mark Johnson!
Omar Kabir is an American jazz trumpeter known for his powerful tone and expressive improvisation. He is a founding member of the Freedom Art Quartet and has collaborated with artists such as Cecil Taylor, Charlie Haden, and David Murray. The group’s latest release reached #36 on the US Jazz Radio Charts in 2025.Justin Salisbury is a Brooklyn-based pianist, composer, and producer, and a graduate of Berklee College of Music. He has performed at major venues and festivals including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Monterey Jazz Festival. His debut album Evergreen was released in 2022.
Felipe Arce is an Argentinian-born, New York–based bassist, composer, and bandleader. He leads the Felipe Arce Quintet and writes all of the group’s music. His debut album EXPANSION was released on Fresh Sound Records and features Grammy Award–winning pianist Leo Genovese. Arce is active on the international jazz scene and also teaches at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
Mark Johnson is a highly skilled New York–based jazz drummer known for his complex rhythmic language and tabla-influenced style. He has performed with major jazz artists like Abbey Lincoln, Jackie McLean, Freddie Hubbard, Steve Coleman, and Cassandra Wilson, and leads projects on his label, Scat Records.
